I was forwarded an email from Professor Pervez Hoodbhoy. He is organizing a hands-on relief effort at QAU, and is probably in Balakot right now with a van and truck full of supplies. Please donate to the earthquake relief fund at the Eqbal Ahmad Foundation. This is one way of knowing that you’re directly supporting people in need, rather than a bureacracy at a large charity. Plus if Hoodbhoy is involved, you can rest assured that this is a serious, genuine operation, not a fly-by-night charity.
