I just received this email:
The Association for the Development of Pakistan’s (ADP) effort to raise funds for earthquake relief has seen a very successful start. In 48 hours, we have raised more than $48,000 through our website at www.DevelopPakistan.org. Thank you to everyone who has contributed and spread the word.
Yesterday evening we recieved some very exciting news: Zia Chishti, the CEO of TRG and Orthoclear, has generously offered to match the next $25,000 raised by ADP! Each dollar you contribute to the ADP Earthquake Relief Funds will be matched by Mr. Chishti (up to $25,000) producing double the impact for the many victims of this disaster in Pakistan. If we are able to raise as much money Tuesday as we did Monday, we will have collected $75,000 in less than three days to benefit the many victims in Pakistan. Please be generous in your donations!
ADP is collecting donations directed towards relief work via three different channels:
- President’s Earthquake Relief Fund, which is being overseen by the president of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf,
- Edhi Foundation , which is undeniably the most trusted NGO in Pakistan with a large operational network throughout the country, and
- ADP’s Long Term Earthquake Relief Fund, which will fund redevelopment once the immediate needs have been met.
You may contribute to any of these funds and take advantage of this wonderful matching offer at www.DevelopPakistan.org. Please circulate this e-mail as widely as you can, so that others might take advantage of this opportunity to double their contribution to those in need.
Help us raise the next $50,000!
Thanks!
Justin
