Please donate generously. Here’s a list of charities that are accepting donations from people outside Pakistan (especially those accepting online donations specifically for earthquake relief).

  • UNICEF
  • President’s Relief Fund. Donations can be sent to the Embassy of Pakistan, 3517 International Court, NW, Washington, DC 20008. Checks should be made payable to the President’s Relief Fund.

Pakistan’s most respected charity is the Edhi Foundation. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a way of sending them donations online. There’s no answer at their New York phone number. I’ll update this entry as soon as I get through to them.

Also, sepoy will be setting up a PayPal account to raise donations to send directly to Edhi.

Update: Still no answer from the U.S. Edhi office. CNN has a list of charities. A campus student group has another.
