					<description>Yeah, I went through the exact same thing a few years back. In my case, it was a double-whammy not only because the rules/gotis confused me but I realized that my cheatin' uncles had never taught me the right rules to begin with! 
Now, you tell me that even Maulvi Abdul Haq cheated at Ludo. Which really begs the question that this game is designed solely for adults to cheat on innocents with.
Here is when it gets really interesting. I was recently playing the game in our backyard and our Vietnamese neighbor dropped by. He watched for a while and then proclaimed that there is a Vietnamese game that is remarkably similar that he played as a child. He told me the name but I forgot. However, the rules he described were a lot closer to the Ludo rules than the Parcheesi ones. I must investigate that further.....</description>
