Why is it that the anti-war movement can never get its act together? This from ANSWER’s “call for united mass action” on September 24th:

Stop the War in Iraq

End Colonial Occupation
from Iraq to Palestine to Haiti

Support the Palestinian People’s Right of Return

Stop the Threats Against
Venezuela, Cuba, Iran & North Korea

U.S. out of the Philippines
U.S. out of Puerto Rico

Bring all the troops home now

Stop the Racist, anti-Immigrant and anti-Labor
Offensive at Home, Defend Civil Rights

Military Recruiters out of our schools & communities

All noble goals, I’m sure, but aren’t they having enough trouble with a single point agenda — ending the war in Iraq — without diluting the message with Palestine, Haiti, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Philippines, Puerto Rico? U.S. out of the Philippines? Is the U.S. even in the Philippines?
